About the Plan
The Wytheville Comprehensive Plan is the Town’s long‑range policy document guiding growth, land use, transportation, and public investment over the next 20 years. Developed in accordance with the Code of Virginia, the plan establishes a shared community vision and translates it into goals, strategies, and recommended actions related to land use and development patterns, transportation and mobility, housing, economic development, community facilities, and environmental resources. It serves as the foundation for future zoning, capital improvement decisions, and infrastructure investments, while coordinating local priorities with regional and state partners such as VDOT. Grounded in public and stakeholder input, the plan is intended to be a practical, flexible tool that helps Wytheville manage change, support economic vitality, and maintain a high quality of life for residents and businesses.
