Welcome to Savannah MOVES!

Savannah MOVES is the first multi-modal transportation implementation plan focused specifically on the City of Savannah. That means that no matter how you travel – by car, by bike, on transit, on foot, or some other way, Savannah MOVES is all about YOU! Savannah MOVES will focus on the needs of City residents, businesses, and visitors to create a vibrant, safe, and efficient transportation system that meets the needs of everyone!

Savannah MOVES will build on the Coastal Region (CORE) Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Master Transportation Plan 2050. This coordination will avoid duplication and overlap with existing studies while providing an essential tool for the City’s continued partnership with the Chatham County - Savannah Metropolitan Planning Commission (MPC) and CORE MPO in meeting the accelerated growth and demand in the coastal region.

Savannah MOVES is not just another planning process. Savannah MOVES brings together over 30 existing plans and projects into one seamless transportation plan for the City of Savannah – with a focus on action and implementation. Check out the graphic below to see what M-O-V-E-S is all about!
