Previous Master Plan Engagement
and What's Happening Now
During the MAPS 4 Community and Neighborhood Parks Master Plan process, residents played a key role in shaping the future of Oklahoma City’s neighborhood and community parks. The planning process actively engaged the public by inviting them to identify needs, opportunities, and priorities for local parks.
Through tools such as interactive mapping, community comments, and idea submissions, members of the community were able to share what they valued most about their parks, what improvements they felt were necessary, and how parks could be enhanced to better serve their neighborhoods. This valuable input helped to establish the vision, set goals, and determine specific improvement priorities for each park.
After the foundational guidance from the community was gathered and considered, City Council adopted the Master Plan in January 2025. Now, the project is advancing to the next phase: developing concept designs for each park based on the approved budgets and recommendations. These designs aim to reflect the unique needs and preferences of each neighborhood.
On this website, you can view the preliminary concept design for your neighborhood or community park and provide feedback. Your feedback is important and will help ensure that the final plans truly represent the interests and aspirations of your neighborhood and community parks.
