Federal law requires cities to make public sidewalks, crosswalks, curb ramps, and pedestrian signals accessible to people with disabilities. This plan will conduct a comprehensive self-evaluation of Hollister’s public right-of-way using GPS-based mobile tools, identify facilities that don’t meet current ADA and PROWAG standards, and catalog deficiencies in a GIS database with photos, field notes, and cost estimates. The team will work with an ad-hoc ADA Advisory Committee to develop priority routes connecting key destinations. The final plan will include an improvement schedule, an ADA grievance procedure, and designation of an ADA Coordinator.
